Publications

Our publications position us as a research institute within a research community that not only undertakes responsible endeavors, but also imperial and empirical direction for its future. Each publication is a product of Indo-American ethical endeavor and concern for the severe realities that inform the social, political, and cultural challenges and networks of the region.

We endeavor to publish not only for the sake of scholarship, but to inspire and question new directions for documentation with solutions to real-world challenges. Our findings act like a bridge between pure research and practical policy-making, situating local developments within a global discourse.

Therefore, we provide multidimensional publication opportunities to reach potential scholars and practitioners in diverse forms: Research Papers, Policy Reports, White Papers, Briefing Papers.

Research Papers
Our research papers are the essence of comprehensive inquiries, from reform in governance to sustainable development to cultural heritage to environmental sustainability. These developments are analytically driven to expand the field of South Asian studies and push the envelope of what’s known.

Policy Reports
Our policy reports are undertaken for real-time challenges of public policy. Our goal is to provide relevant solutions to interested parties, donor agencies, and governmental branches. These are the scholarly outputs that seek communication of bite-sized recommendations to regional leaders.

White Papers
Our white papers are defined as attempts to answer policy-relevant questions in a transparent format, intended for discussion, debate, and presentation in academic and citizen-based policy systems.

Briefing Papers
Our briefing papers arise from emergent issues addressing a brief overview of what needs emphasis. These are authoritatively constructed for leaders and policymakers alike as short, but powerful, substantive endeavors.

Each of these publications comes with an executive summary for a quick digest of content and download accessibility. The Research Archive also exists online, where the publication of past works can be explored—an extensive historical account of important development, governance, and cultural heritage of South Asia is documented therein.
These journals embody the Sundar Singh Institute’s commitment to engaged scholarship and social responsibility and a sustainable, just future for South Asia.
