Enlightening the Future of South Asia with Wisdom, Integrity, and Justice.
The Sundar Singh Institute of South Asian Studies is among the leading independent think tanks in the world seeking to foster a better and more in-depth understanding of the prevailing issues surrounding today’s South Asia. Our focus fields comprise politics, governance, socioeconomic developments, cultural trends, and social justice, among others. We pursue a diverse range of ethical and empirical research to resolve commingling issues of today in South Asia—and beyond.

Mission and Activities
Naming our Institute after the vision of Sadhu Sundar Singh, a man of humanitarian ideals, socio-cultural sensitivity, and ethical intellect, we honor Singh by continuing to strive for excellence and dedication to social justice and the greater good. This was and always will be our driving force.
Research for the Region
We are a research and resource center because we believe that knowledge is power and knowledge is the ability to change a region. Therefore, we engage in research projects that deal with contemporary need-of-the-hour issues with insight, deliberation, and impact. With an interdisciplinary approach, we tackle issues of good governance, socio-economic equity, sustainable development, cultural heritage, and environmental sustainability with practical applicability and sustainable systems for all micro and macro communities in South Asia.
Think Tank as a Policy Partner
The Sadhu Sundar Singh Institute is more than a research think tank; it is a social policy partner in academia. At the same time, many academic institutions possess the versatility to execute academic research; few have the capability to operate beyond research for integrity-based outcomes. Thus, the Sadhu Sundar Singh Institute is frequently contacted by governmental sectors, regional international organizations, and civil society organizations for secondary research inquiries, needing non-biased review. We are known and trusted beyond our research capacity; we connect with so many entities and have become a grounded entity of trust with effective results. Therefore, when governments of South Asia desire to determine what their citizens require concerning food security, urgent humanitarian aid, challenges of migration, disaster management, and climate change adaptation, they know where to turn for assistance.
Partnerships Beyond Borders
Our partners extend from South Asian entities in specific fields to international universities and scholars who partner with us in social sciences and social policies. Knowledge is power, yet disseminated knowledge provides greater opportunities for peace and social justice. As such, we welcome partners who share our vision for stability, equity, and inclusion for our region and beyond.
Our Commitment
Above all, we commit to everything we endeavor with adherence to the vision of Sadhu Sundar Singh through courage, ethical accountability, and social development ventures that place human dignity at the forefront. Join us in our aspirations for South Asia—its people, its cultures, and its place in the world through avenues of justice for peace, compassion, and understanding for all.
